Galactic Diplomacy Star Map

Galactic Diplomacy Star Map

Claimed home systems of the extraterrestrial groups, placed at their measured direction and distance from Earth. Distance runs on a logarithmic scale; hover or tap a location to read what each group does, as described by Salla (2013).

Top: toward galactic centre (l = 0°)
Counter-clockwise: increasing galactic longitude

Reading the scale

Each ring is ten times farther than the one inside it, from 0.06 AU to 10 million ly. Equal steps outward are equal factors of distance, so Venus (0.32 AU) and the Andromeda Galaxy (2.5 million light-years) fit on one chart. The top of the chart points toward the galactic centre, and galactic longitude increases counter-clockwise. Positions are projected onto the plane of the Milky Way by galactic longitude; the tooltip gives latitude b too. Planet positions are for 7 October 2026.
